My Mission
As a teacher, I want to be remembered as being the one
who inspired a student to follow a dream. In twenty-five or so years, I want at least one student to say to me, "Mrs. Kee,
you may have presented 'Macbeth', but you taught me life." I want my students to learn enough to ask questions. It is my hope
that they will become life-long learners who will pass on their love for learning.
It is always said that the
hard-luck lesson is the one learned the best. I feel that this is entirely true. Vince Lombardi once said, "The greatest accomplishment
is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall." This saying is posted on the wall at the front of the classroom.
I try to instill it in all of my students by encouraging them to try new things and to answer questions and delve into knowledge
with which they are not comfortable. In this way, I can foster a love for learning.
Not to be cliche', but technology
is the key to the 21st century. Without at least a basic working knowledge of technology, our students will be alone in a
technology-driven world. I hope that by actively and creatively integrating technology into whatever academic subject I am
teaching, that I will be able to give my students the self-confidence to pursue their own technological quests.
"The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall."
